The Elgin Grabouw Country Club is one of the most amazing venues for a large scale festival we have seen anywhere in the world. The centerpiece is a huge lake surrounded by mountains and fringed with white sand beaches. It is a surreal backdrop with both sunrise and sunset views; a real rarity.
– ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY –
We will collect, sort and recycle all the bottles and cans used at Bazique. All the cups used at Bazique will be fully recyclable and will be sorted on site.
PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES, BIODEGRADABLE DISHWARE AND STRAWS
To cut down the amount of plastic we use there will be no small bottles of water for sale at Bazique, only 1.5L bottles. WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to bring your own water bottle or cup and fill it up for free at one of the many water stations. The water is clean and delicious and free!
You can also use your own cup or bottle for mixed drinks from the bars.
There will be no straws given out with drinks and all the plates, bowls and cutlery used at the event will be biodegradable.
THE BAZIQUE BUS
We have arranged for a number of luxury air conditioned coaches to depart for the festival from Sea Point and Observatory on Friday late morning and return Sunday evening and have subsidised the ticket price to make it as affordable as possible. We will be launching Bazique Bus soon. Please sign up for the newsletter here for info.
CAR POOLING AND PARKING GREEN TAX
Please car pool for the event! If you arrive by car with 2 or more people in the car, parking is free. If you arrive alone in a car, there is a R50 parking charge for the duration of your stay.
PLEASE CAR POOL ☺
